Hadi Sumoro

Hadi is the founder of HX Audio Lab. He has provided design and construction supervision for the professional audio industry since 2007. As an independent consultant, he has been responsible for various acoustical projects such as studio design, music school, music rehearsal facilities, performance hall, house of worships, etc.

Hadi also provides independent audio services in mixing and mastering. Aside from his audio work, he has a high interest in audio education. His involvement in audio education is well-known in Indonesian audio industry since 2006. He has published many free informal articles about acoustics/audio which has helped a lot of audio practitioners in Indonesia. His publication "Pengantar Ilmu Akustik" (formerly known as Berisik!!, 2008), an introduction to acoustics, has been widely spread in Indonesian audio community. This book explains and introduces Acoustics as a branch of Physics by answering 101 questions about sound, vibration and hearing.

As system measurement technician and technical application engineer at Community Pro Loudspeakers, Hadi has provided over 300 sound system design for various venues such as outdoor/indoor arenas, house of worships, restaurants, warehouse paging system, outdoor warning system, etc. His responsibility includes loudspeaker measurement and data collection for R&D, production and publication/documentation.

Hadi is a semi-professional Jazz musician. He plays piano and hammond organ, also actively involves in private music education since 1997. His styles include Jazz, Blues, Pop/Rock and also Fusion.

Xian Yu

Xian is a graduate from Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, receiving M.A. in Acoustics (2009). She is the recipient of school scholarship and the Robert Bradford Newman Medal awarded by the Acoustical Society of America (Merit in Architectural Acoustics).

Xian is the founding partner of HX Audio Lab. With excellent mathematics and computer programming skill, Xian has strong interests in developing software for audio and acoustics such as Sound Sprinkles, Sound Bubble and Sound Splash.

As technical application engineer in Community Pro Loudspeakers, Xian is actively providing sound system design for various venus such as outdoor/indoor arenas, gymnasiums, house of worships, warehouse paging systems, etc. She has provided over 100 sound system design proposals.

Supported with Xian's B.E. in Recording Engineering from the Communication University of China (2007), Xian also works as an audio engineer. Her previous works include radio programs, video game sound effects and sound design for films. She has provided design and construction supervision for studio construction in China.
