Born in Purwokerto, Indonesia on March 7th 1982, Hadi started to learn computer since he was 11 years old. He enjoyed experimenting with his computer until he decided to learn as many programming languages as he can during his junior high school. This leads him to MIDI programming and basic arrangement as his hobby later.

Started with Yamaha Electone Organ music course, Hadi started to learn music when he was 12. He became a church organist since he was 13 and regularly playing organ in high school and church. He didn't stay for along time in Yamaha and continued his organ study in Technics Music Academy at 14 years old for about 3 years. As a computer person, he started to learn MIDI by himself and started learning about basic song arrangement, composition and MIDI sequencing autodidactically. Started from his Technics Keyboard, he moved on to hardware sequencing and finally computer MIDI sequencing.

Hadi's passion in Jazz starts growing during his last year of junior high school. Learning Jazz from Bayu Wirawan and Bubi Chen is his first step. He switched his playing style at the end of his high school year and decided to continue learning Jazz.

In Fall 2001, Hadi went to Berklee College of Music, Boston and majoring in Jazz Composition and Music Production and Engineering. He graduated with Magna Cum Laude honor in Fall 2004. Traditional Jazz was his concentration during his study at Berklee. Although his Master's study is not Music, that does not stop him loving music. He has always been keeping up as a musician.

Hadi is strongly influenced by traditional/classical Jazz and Blues. Aside from the classical Jazz, he also studies modern/contemporary theory such as twelve tones, lydian chromatic concept, metatonal, etc. As musician, his passion in music is nearly all kind of styles with a heavy emphasize on Jazz, Blues and Pop.
