Welcome to Hadi's Personal page
Born in Purwokerto, Indonesia on March 7th 1982, Hadi started to learn computer since he was 11 years old. He enjoyed experimenting with his computer until he decided to learn as many programming languages as he can during his junior high school (dBase III+, Basic, and Turbo Pascal).
Under Yamaha Electone Organ music course, Hadi started to learn music when he was 12. He became a church organist since he was 13 and regularly playing electronic organ in high school and church. He stayed in Yamaha for a short time and continued his organ study in Technics Music Academy at 14 years old. As a computer person, he started to learn MIDI sequencing, basic song arrangement and composition autodidactically.
Hadi's passion in Jazz start to grow during his last year of junior high school. Learning Jazz from Bayu Wirawan and Bubi Chen was his first steps. He switched his playing style at the end of high school and decided to continue learning Jazz.
In Fall 2001, Hadi went to Berklee College of Music, Boston and majoring in Jazz Composition and Music Production and Engineering. He graduated with Magna Cum Laude honor in Fall 2004. Traditional Jazz was his concentration during his study at Berklee. Extensive experiences in audio engineering are also achieved during his study ranging from Pop, traditional music, Jazz, etc.
In 2007, Hadi graduated from Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, receiving a Master's degree in Audio Sciences with Acoustics concentration. He studied with a noted acoustician, Neil Thompson Shade. During his Master's study, Hadi wrote a book called BERISIK!! - an introduction to acoustics which is released in 2008. He also attended the Synergetic Audio Concept Sound Reinforcement for designer seminar in February 2007 to extend his knowledge in Sound System Design.
